Hi Lynden. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I just saw your message. We are in the City of Tallmadge in Northeast Ohio. If you feel comfortable shipping your tapes to us, we'll be happy to digitize them for you onto a USB stick. Our pricing is based on how many hours of transfer you have. We time out your tapes to determine total hours (we do have a half hour minimum per tape) Our hourly rate is $23 and includes a flash drive that would hold all your transfers. (Each tape will be saved as a separate High Def MP4 file on the flash drive.) If you have 10 hours or more there is a 10% discount. If you have 25 hours or more there is a 25% discount. Once we time out your tapes, we'll let you know how many hours you have and what your estimated cost will be. We won't process your order until you give us the go ahead. Should you decide to work with us, we recommend you use a shipping service with tracking such as Priority Mail or UPS. Please include your contact information. We'll let you know as soon as we receive your package. Our address is ARS Video Inc - 161 Northwest Ave - Suite 101 - Tallmadge, OH 44278. Thank you - Lorin Alvarez

Happy to help, you may want to consider a USB Flash Drive because it works on your TV and computer. You can also upload the high-definition video files to a cloud account, YouTube or Google Drive and make copies for other people. We can still make DVDs, but they are becoming obsolete.

Hi,
Yes, we can convert 8mm film reels and 8mm video tapes.

We transfer those to a USB Flash Drives that work on your TV and your computer as high-definition video files.
We can also make a DVD for an additional fee.

The cost is based on the format and the length. One reel of 8mm film (3" diameter, round reel) is priced by the foot,
8mm video tape (about the size of an audio cassette) is priced by the hour of recorded material, 1 hour minimum.

Please call us if you have and questions or you can mail it to the address below. Please make sure there is tracking
on your package and your contact information is inside.

We will contact you with an estimate before we do anything.

Thank you,

Hi Jerry,
We get this question a lot. Due to copyright laws, we cannot digitize those old analog recordings. You can still find used VHS players on E-Bay, Goodwill, estate sales etc. I suggest purchasing one that can play both VHS and DVD (my preference is JVC such as the DR-MV150). These have HDMI output which is a better quality than the composite yellow, red and white wires. There are many copyrighted commercial shows on YouTube and archive.org that you could stream to your TV. Check there for your shows.

Hi Allan, Thanks for your feedback. We don't transfer copyrighted material. We only work with family recordings from video tapes and film. There are many reasons why film would need to be restored - mainly due to damage caused by age, humidity and how it was stored. We have restored 16/35mm film as old as 1916-1920's. Video tapes have been around since 1980's and they are going bad for the same reasons. We are also able to salvage many of those.
