How Our Digitization Services Work:
We are a 36-year, family-owned and operated national business. We specialize in Film and Video Digital Transfer Services for individuals, families, and institutions. We also provide Pre-Construction Video Services for businesses. We treat our customers as we would like to be treated, which includes fair pricing (see our prices on our Pricing Page) always.
You can either bring in your materials to Tallmadge, Ohio or ship them to us. The majority of our customers are out-of-state. Make sure there is tracking on your package, as we have never had a problem with any tracked packages. Also, please fill out and include a packing slip in the box.

When your order is complete, you will be contacted and can either pick it up or make payment and have it shipped back to you (including all your original media items.)
We also back-up your files in case you need another copy in the future.
When you put the new USB Flash Drive that contains all of your converted media files in to your TV (all TVs have USB ports) or computer, you will see a list of all your film reels, tapes, photos or audio files based on your labels. Simply navigate to the one you want to watch and press enter. The files can be renamed on your computer, uploaded to your cloud service, and copied to share with family and friends!

Film and Video Transfer Service to Digital
We transfer film reels and video tapes to High-Definition files for today’s TVs and computers.- Our basic pricing includes a free flash drive or a free DVD.
- For videotapes, we charge by the hour. We time out your tapes for free, omitting any TV that may have been recorded.
- Your price is based on recorded hours not the number of tapes. Once we determine the hours, we contact you for approval.
- For film reels, we charge by the foot. We can add a beginning title and appropriate background music to personalize your footage.
- You don’t pay until we have processed your order and YOU ONLY PAY FOR THE MATERIAL WE DIGITIZE – no paying for blank tapes or T.V. programs.
- Quantity discounts available.
- A backup is kept of everything we digitize.
While we run our operations as a high tech company, we never lose sight of what is most important: YOU…. and what your memories mean to you. While we can’t guarantee that our services will be free of any errors, we do GUARANTEE that we will correct any mistake that is the result of our misreading of your instructions for 30 days from the date we ship back your order.
About Us
The founding of ARS Video occurred in 1987 when Gloria and her husband Art bought a film transfer machine from New York and started transferring people’s precious memories as a part-time business. We offer audio and video transfer services to digital formats throughout the Ohio Valley and North America, with professional shipping and delivery.

Last fall I brought you a film from the 60s to be put on DVD. You did an excellent job. The colors were bright and the sound effects and music were perfect.I must tell you that I sent the same film to a company in Chicago. This company claimed to do excellent work and I wanted to see if there was a difference – just for the beck of it.
I want you to know that your work was superior in comparison and less expensive. I don’t know why but this Chicago company’s copy was less colorful and sometimes changed from very dark to very bright or whitish. It was horrible. Their background music was boring. You were great in varying the music to the mood or activity.
I am so pleased with the DVDs you produced from our old 60s and 70s 8mm film! My two daughters and their families watched it with us over the holidays and we laughed and cried together!No one could have done it better and the music and sound behind the scenes was perfectly selected! Can’t say enough good things about you!
